WT Performing Arts Academy

For five years we have thought and planned to introduce a year round performing arts program. That time is here. Beginning October 5, 2010, the doors will officially be open to those interested in ballet, vocal, drum, and performance instruction in either a private or group setting. Our instructors are top of the line and well trained and ready to go to work.

Volunteer in Wichita Falls

I've always thought that the best place to volunteer with kids would be in a retirement home, like Rolling Meadows...so be sure to check out the ones locally and bring a smile to someones face!

Many of these places take donations as well (such as clothes and toys that you no longer need in your house!)

Habitat for Humanity - I called them a while back and asked how I could volunteer with small children and they said that we could hang brochures on doors for them.  Their other website is http://habitatwf.com/.

American Red Cross - They also offer Infant and Child CPR classes.

Boys and Girls Club of WF

Interfaith Ministries

Faith Mission

WF Area Food Bank

Falls Miracle League - Buddies must be at least 10 years of age or older.

Special Olympics - Volunteers ages 14 and younger are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent or adult volunteer.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

United Way

Wichita County Humane Society

The ARC of Wichita Falls

Good Will of NT

There are other volunteer opportunities at Hospice WF and Community Healthcare Center of WF and First Step, Inc and Child Advocates (CASA), which are all wonderful organizations if you're looking to volunteer while your children are in school.
Wichita Falls used to have their own volunteer site, but they must've taken it down. It looks like you can search for other volunteer opportunities on this site: http://www.volunteermatch.org/.
