Air Force Space Camp

We are pleased to announce the nomination package is now available for the 2010 AF Services Space Camp hosted by the US Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville AL. Space Academy and Advanced Space Academy will be conducted 25-30 Jul 2010. Space camp is divided into two age divisions, 12-14 yr olds and 15-18 yr olds. This camp is open to family members of Active Duty military assigned to or living on an AFB, AF Retired Military, AF Civilian Employees, and active Air National Guard and AF Reserve members. Airline or POV travel costs to Huntsville are the responsibility of the attendees. HQ USAF/ILVY will fund all lodging, meals, and activity fees after arrival to Space Camp. Interested youth must have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA. In addition, an application form must be completed, a letter of support from a teacher, a resume detailing your academic achievements and extra-curricular activities, and a recent academic transcript must be received. Deadlines for the packages to be delivered to the Youth Center is 22 Apr 10. We will review the packages before setting up interviews with the Youth Director. After the interview process we will send to Air Force.
