Following a long tradition, on Saturday September 25 the Northwest Texas Field and Stream will host an Open House in celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Day from 9 AM to 1PM. Non-members may use our shooting facilities. Families and youth are especially invited to participate in a Fun Shoot at our Youth Range.
We'll have fun targets like metal spinners and soda pop cans as well as competition type targets. The NWTFS will have .22 rifles and pistols on hand as well as ammunition. Moms, dads and the kids can try their hand. Kids who have participated in previous shooting classes or competitions can freshen up their skills. Can Grandpa's squirrel gun really outshoot a target rifle? Have some fun finding out.
If firearms are brought to the range please have them empty and in a safe condition, preferable cased or action open with no magazine.
The Shotgun Club will have guns and ammunition available as well as some excellent coaching for an introduction to Trap shooting.
A free hot dog meal will be provided. Bring the family or bring a friend.
